Changelog

The GENE release-candidate history, with frozen tags, commits, Genome VERSIONs and genome hashes as recorded in the repository.

Each release candidate (RC) is a complete set of contracts with its own Genome encoding. Changing any Genome constant, including VERSION, changes genomeHash, so every candidate below has a distinct hash. Only the current candidate describes GENE; every earlier entry is historical and superseded.

#What changed from RC3 to RC4

The code at aca5fcd is authoritative.

  • Placement anchors. METABOLISM bids, the churn tier and REGENERATION's price limit are anchored at atlTick; IMMUNITY at max(spot, atlTick). RC3's time-rising floors and the previous-epoch window anchors are removed. Asks are unchanged.
  • Funding. RC3's shared budget (gross revenue of the previous epoch) is replaced by net-flow budgets with cumulative provenance: a bid budget from net buying, an IMMUNITY budget from net selling, and a churn tier from revenue not funded by net buying.
  • Storage. BlockState drops the previous-epoch extremes and gains atlTick; EpochAcc replaces volumeGwei with netGeneMicro in the same bits; slot 2 loses floorTick and immFloorTick; slots 21 to 23 are new. See Storage layout.
  • ABI. 29 functions become 27: floorTick() and immFloorTick() are removed; ethBudget() returns the METABOLISM net-flow budget.
  • Events. EpochClosed carries netGene instead of volume; FlowBudgets and PlacementSkipped are new; MassAdded gains kind 4 and reports the effective anchor.
  • Genome. FLOOR_RATE_TICKS, IMM_FLOOR_RATE_TICKS, BUDGET_BPS and ASK_ANCHOR_ATH are removed; IMM_CONFIRM is now read by the code.

#Before RC2

The repository records no candidate labelled RC1. The earliest material in it is an architecture and threat-model document written before any production contract existed. It is historical; where it disagrees with the RC4 code, the code is authoritative.
